Andrea Ciaravino is a former Michigan resident.  She attended Michigan State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training.  While attending MSU, Andrea was involved with the Athletic Training Program and worked with various collegiate athletes.   Prior to completing her Bachelor’s Degree, she spent her last six months studying abroad in Australia where she had the opportunity to shadow the physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Olympic Gymnastics team during the 2000 Olympic Games.  Prior to returning to school, she has worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for 7 years at the high school level, and worked in an orthopedic office.  She received her Master of Science and Physician Assistant Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in August 2008 where she was a Dean’s Scholar.

 
Andrea is Board Certified by the NCCPA and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.  She is also Board Certified by the BOC as an Athletic Trainer and is a member of the National Athletic Training Association. 

 

Andrea joined Greensboro Orthopaedics in 2008 and currently assists Dr. Darhari Brooks who specializes in orthopedic spinal surgery.  Her non-professional interests include spending time with her family, sporting activities, and travel.
