Paul A. Bednarz, M.D.

Dr. Bednarz is a native of Northern New Jersey.
He received his B.S. Degree in Biology and Fine Arts from Seton Hall University where he was Magna Cum Laude. He received his M.D. Degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey where he received the Surgical Researcher of the Year Award from the Association for Academic Surgery.

After an internship in orthopaedic surgery, Dr Bednarz completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His surgical experience concentrated on blunt and penetrating orthopaedic trauma as well as assisting team orthopaedic physicians for the Detroit Pistons, Whalers (Hockey) and Wayne State University Football Team.

Dr. Bednarz completed a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive and Trauma Surgery at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and Michigan International Foot and Ankle Center in Pontiac, Michigan. He began his practice with Greensboro Orthopaedic Center in 2002 and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Bednarz surgical interests include foot and ankle trauma, total ankle replacement, sports related foot and ankle injuries, foot and ankle reconstruction and the diabetic foot.

His non professional interests include family, golf, water and snow sports. He is married to the former Nancy Leigh McBryde, and they have three children, Tyler Anthony, Sydney Leigh and Austin Leigh.
