Physical Therapy Staff

 

The Sports & Rehabilitation Center provides outpatient Physical, Industrial and Sports Therapy services to assist in the recovery of orthopaedic injuries and conditions. Our rehabilitation staff takes an active approach to recovery and works as a team in order to help each patient achieve his or her individual goals.  Our aspirations are to provide the "Absolute Best" rehabilitation experience, to attain maximum improvement as quickly as possible and to return patients, workers and athletes back to their active lifestyle.  Our new 10,000 square foot Physical Therapy Facility is located near Friendly Center and contains "State of the Art" conditioning, strengthening and rehabilitation equipment.  The Sports & Rehabilitation Center is open Monday and Wednesday: 7:00a.m.-6:30p.m., Tuesday and Thursday - 7:30a.m.-7p.m.,  and Friday: 7:00a.m. - 5:30p.m.

  Hand Center Staff

 The Occupational Therapy Program at Greensboro Orthopaedic Center provides clinically specialized Hand Therapy services to assist in the recovery from acute & cumulative trauma upper extremity disorders.  The services proveded are for both surgical & non-surgical situations.  The Occupational Therapists have extensive advanced training in treating disorders of the arm and hand.  This allows us to work closely with the patient's referring physician.  Our objective is to achieve the best possible physical recovery and then help patients integrate these gains into functional use.  The Occupational Therapy Center is located at our new Signature Place location near Friendly Center. We work closely with our program's medical director & board certified hand & microvascular surgeon, William Gramig, M.D. and Fred W. Ortmann, IV, M.D.  The Occupational Therapy program is open Monday -Thursday from 8a.m. - 6p.m. and  Friday from 8a.m. to 5p.m.  We look forward to meeting your upper extremity rehabilitation needs.


Occupational Therapy Services available:

  • Diagnosis specific custom splinting to either protect repaired structures or mobilize stiff joints
  • Post surgical wound care
  • Customized exercise programs to regain motion and strength
  • Therapeutic modalities to augment the exercise programs
  • Therapeutic techniques targeted at pain management
  • Patient education so that the therapy staff and the patient can work closely together to accomplish the patient's individual goals
