Stephen Chabon is a native of Washington, DC. He received his BS degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, his Physician Assistant degree from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, and his Masters In Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. He received microsurgical training from the University of Louisville and is certified in Environmental and Occupational Medicine from Duke University. Mr. Chabon was on the faculty in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as an assistant professor of allied health from 1989 to 1993. He has practiced as a physician assistant in hand surgery and orthopedic surgery for 22 years and has practiced in the Piedmont Triad area since 1983. Mr. Chabon is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Mr. Chabon has been with Greensboro Orthopaedics since December 2003.
Mr. Chabon's nonprofessional interest include sailing, surfing, hiking, and motorcycling. He is married to Suzanne Chabon, a nurse practitioner specializing in gynecology and infertility.
